Fairy Princess Instead of Sexy Siren

 

Now don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful dress and Jennifer Lopez is a beautiful woman but this just falls short for. It falls short for me for no other reason than the fact that I'm getting a fairy princess vibe and I just don't see JLo as a fairy princess, but more of a kick ass sexy siren. What I really needed was a continuation of her smoking hot dress choice at the Golden Globes to transfer into something as sexy but also elegant for the Oscars. Not to mention Robert Duvall's wife had the exact same dress only in a different color, so JLo's people messed up and did not get her a 1 of a kind dress. 

6000 Pearls... Really???

 

So.... Lupita Nyong'o's dress at the 2015 Oscars is a custom Calvin Klein made up of 6000+ pearls. I must say I have a bit of a love hate feeling towards for this dress. I mean that many pearls, with the thick halter neckline just seems a bit uncomfortable to me. Then I  think well I'm not the one wearing it and it is gorgeous and what a dramatic idea to make a dress out of pearls.

1 Shade of Red

Dakota Johnson looked incredible wearing a red one shoulder Yves Saint Laurent dress. The one shoulder strap was actually a grey silver twisted jewel rope. Everything about this look screams look at me in a very subtle way. The hairstyle really completes the look as everyone would have expected a sexier up do but instead Miss Johnson takes a well paid off risk with a simple mid length ponytail.

Best Actress Winner = Best Dressed Winner

Julianne Moore stunned in a Chanel Haute Couture gown with dainty flowers. The simple yet elegant design of the gown proved why she is one of those actresses that knows how to dress her body and knows how to be sexy without having to give too much away. Her jewellery was kept plain and so was her hair. The pop of red lip and hair made the outfit different and so did the person wearing it.
